Easy way of playing the Fm Chord

A great way to start your F minor guitar chord venture is to play the version of the chord we are about to show you.

For this one, bar your index finger across the bottom 3 strings on the 1st fret. This would be the Fm chord guitar players tend to learn first.

However, if you want to spice things up, add your ring finger to the 3rd fret of the 4th string.

As far as your picking hand goes, pluck the strings you are pressing with your fretting hand.

Advanced way of playing the Fm Chord

Yeah, this is a barre chord… But, no need to panic. We are here to guide you through the process of learning this one step by step. With a little bit of patience, you will be playing these like Billie Joe Armstrong in no time!

For this one, barre your index finger across all 6 strings on the 1st fret. Add your ring finger to the 3rd fret of the 5th string. Finally, place your pinky on the 3rd fret of the 4th string.

Strum all 6 six strings with your picking hand.
