Finding the Perfect Guitar & Gear: Your Best Friend for Life

Write your awesome label here.
I'm Steve Stine and today I want to talk about finding the right gear for you, and what being your best friend means.

When it comes to buying gear for your guitar and other instruments, there are a few things to consider. Being a sales person at Schmitt Music for many years, I've seen people come in with a certain budget and buy a guitar and/or amp. What I want you to think about is what will make the biggest difference to make your connection with your gear.

For me, my guitars have always been the most important thing, with the amp being secondary. That's why when I go to a guitar store, I always bring my guitar with me so I can try out the amp and make sure it sounds the way I want it to. This way, I'm not buying into the sales person's pitch of buying a lesser guitar because it sounds amazing through a great amp.

Defining what is going to be with you forever is important. You might have an amp that you love, a pedal that you always use, or like me, a guitar that is your go-to guitar. The point is, you want to make sure you're getting the most out of your gear, and that it's something that you can depend on.

Finding the right gear for you is a process. You want to make sure you do your research and try out the gear you're interested in. Doing this will help you get the most out of your purchase and ensure that you have the best gear for you.

When it comes to amps, I usually suggest trying out different ones before you make a purchase. While the amp might look or sound good on the shelf, you won't know how it will sound with your guitar until you actually play it. It's also important to consider the size of the amp and what type of music you play. If you play in a band or at a venue, it's important to make sure your amp is large enough to be heard.

Having the right gear for you is also important when it comes to recording. Having the right mic and preamp for recording can make a huge difference in the sound quality of your recordings. You want to make sure you're getting the most out of your recording setup and that you're getting the best sound possible.

At the end of the day, having the right gear for you is all about finding what works best for you. You want to make sure you take your time and do your research to ensure you're getting the best gear for you. Your gear should be your best friend, and it should be something you can rely on and depend on for years to come.
