With your picking hand, you should be playing the bottom 4 strings.

Advanced way of playing the C Minor Chord

Nothing like a good old-fashioned barre chord to build up your fretting hand strength, right?. With a little bit of patience, you will be playing these like Chris Martin in no time!

For the barre (barre = bar) chord version of the C minor guitar chord, you should bar your index finger across the bottom 5 strings on the 3rd fret. Put your ring finger on the 5th fret of the 4th string. Your pinky goes to the 5th fret of the 3rd string. Finally, you should put your middle finger on the 4th fret of the 2nd string.

And there you have it! It didn’t bite, right?

P.S. Don’t forget to play the bottom 5 strings only with your picking hand.
